Facility Based Music Therapy

Miami Valley Music Therapy travels to many private, county, and state facilities to lead music therapy sessions.  We work with preschoolers, adults in day treatment programs, residents who are medically fragile, and older adults in continuing care facilities with skilled nursing, rehabilitation, and Alzheimer units.  We provide individual and small group sessions that focus on:

• Positive social interaction
• Nonverbal forms of expression
• Stress and anger management
• Functional hand use and coordination
• Range of motion
• Creativity
• Emotional expression
